Family Involvement at Tse’ii’ahi Community School

At Tse’ii’ahi Community School, we believe parents and guardians are essential partners in their child’s education. Our Parent/Guardian Involvement Policy ensures that families actively engage in their child’s learning experience.

Our Commitment

  • We aim to build strong ties between parents/guardians and the school community.
  • We are dedicated to implementing model approaches based on research and best practices to improve parent/guardian involvement.
  • We develop roles for community-based organizations and local businesses, providing additional support for involvement activities as requested by parents/guardians.

Your Role as a Parent/Guardian

According to educational research, children perform better when parents/guardians take on the following roles:

  • Teachers:  Supporting learning at home.
  • Supporters:  Contributing skills and resources to the school.
  • Advocates:  Ensuring fair treatment for all children.
  • Decision Makers:  Collaborating with the school to solve problems and make decisions.

How We Support You

  • We maintain open and ongoing communication with parents/guardians to ensure a strong connection between home and school.
  • Our Parent Advisory Committee, composed of parents/guardians and school personnel, meets on the first Wednesday of every month to develop the School Plan for Parent/Guardian Involvement.
  • Our Parent/Guardian-School Compact outlines shared responsibilities between parents/guardians, school staff and students to promote student achievement.
  • We hold annual parent meetings to inform you about our school programs, answer questions and review assessment data.
